Frequently Asked Questions

A sworn, official or certified translation is a translation produced by a professional translator who has been authorised or certified by a competent authority to produce official translations. This kind of translation is legally valid and is mainly used for legal documents, such as contracts, birth, marriage or death certificates, academic diplomas, and powers of attorney, among others. The sworn translator attests that the translation is faithful and accurate to the original document and his or her signature and stamp give it legal validity.

The service we do not offer is what is known as post-editing, which consists of the revision of texts translated by automatic translation engines (such as Google Translate or DeepL). This is a time-consuming service that actually involves more work than translating from the original, which is why it is not part of our service offer at the moment

We accept a wide variety of files. Word, pdf, txt, php, and many more. However, we will need the text to be editable to be able to preserve the formatting.

In the event there is a section, a graphic or an image from which it is difficult to extract the text, a surcharge could be applied for that work. But do not worry, you will always be informed about this before accepting the quote.

We check that the final format of the documents is the same as the originals. However, if it is a heavily edited file it is better to send it to us in the original format of the design programme rather than in PDF or Word.
